***Lectures***
Lectures are 45-90 minutes with a question and answer period encouraged at the end. I can adjust the time to what works for the meeting.

Quilt Flow

I will discuss the creative process and how the intuitive mind helps one come up with new ideas. There are new ways to look at even the most traditional designs. I will have approximately 20 to 30 quilts to show and discuss what my inspiration is for creating them. My quilts range from large pieces like Log Cabin Blues and Florametiric to miniature quilts.
***Workshops***
Marbled Quilts:

Learn what a marbled quilt is, the marbling process and my unique approach to using marbled fabrics in quilts. These quilts range from traditional pieced and appliqués to abstract or pictorial quilts. Many examples of marbled cottons will be shown with different patterns and colors to better understand marbling on cotton fabric. This workshop is really a private lecture with up to 30 students. Through pictures I will clearly show my marbling process so there is no mess. I know each student will gain valuable information on marbling not taught in the books but will learn through my years of experience. 3 hours with $5.00 handout.

Lecture is $400.00
All workshops are $300.00. This is an introductory rate for 2009.
Guild responsible for all travel expenses and government mileage rates apply.
If I have to drive more than 1 1/2 hours the lecture needs to be combined with a workshop. Contract required. I am willing to stay in a quiet home with a guestroom but a hotel is fine. Certainly dietary restrictions if I stay in a home otherwise $35.00 a day for food.
I am willing to drive up to 6 hours away from Winston-Salem NC for Lecture and workshops.
