Working with dark, medium, and light fabrics, a diamond pattern is formed from a traditional Log Cabin pattern. Some of the fabrics are one-quarter inch wide (7 mm). I used a foundation fabric to sew the blocks to stabilize the small pieces in this quilt. You can also see another log cabin diamond pattern in my quilt Log Cabin Blues.
