Hand marbled, dyed and painted cottons
Machine pieced, applique and quilted, metallic threads
This is the largest example in a series of quilts I did in the 1990's using a variety of lattice designs with ivy, butterflies and sometimes flowers. This was my last quilt in the series and I called it Fall Gate because of the fall colors in the flowers. I enjoyed creating these quilts because of the freedom in placing the elements as I designed the top.
