1986-1987....79" x 98" Machine pieced, hand applique, hand quilting, trapunto. commercial cottons and old clothes.
Each of us has at least one rainbow style quilt to make. I learned so much about color combining my fabrics from clothes my family wore with commercial cottons. My solid fabric collection wasn't quite complete as the border indicates. No matter as it was a delightful quilt to work on following Florametric. The pattern is one I used several times since 1980 and never finding a name for it, I called it Borders Circles. Upon being completed, the rainbow color quilt traveled around to a number of shows before returning home for me to sleep under it. My daughter now owns Borders Circles which contains some of her clothes from childhood.
