Quilts
|
I have been creating quilts for over 34 years and realize I am still learning new techniques and patterns. Working with colors and designs holds endless possibilities to bring forth original quilts. Quilts are not only meant for the bed but can be enjoyed hanging on the walls and bring a soft warm inviting feeling to the home.
Traditional blocks like compass and log cabins offer ample opportunity to sew original quilts. Miniature quilts allows the quilter to try different piecing and appliqué designs without having to commit to a large project.
The quilt process demonstrates the many steps involved creating a quilt. Marbling traditional or original patterns offers many opportunities to explore color and patterns. I offer simple sewing lessons to help those that want to learn how to make quilts.
My quilt gallery shows many different types of quilts created over the years. I have tried to answer some of the common questions asked of me over the years regarding quilt making. Finally patterns in marbling, patchwork, appliqué and quilt motifs are shown and discussed. I love patterns whether in quilts or in living with spirit, which continue to capture my imagination and spur me on to explore, shift and change. |
