This vertical log cabin quilt uses slight variations in color to create a modern interpretation of the traditional Log Cabin pattern. Foundation pieced using 3 inch blocks, many of the fabrics are three-sixteenths of an inch wide (5 mm). The blocks were sewn onto a fabric foundation to insure accuracy and stability.
The subtle change in centers in the vertical design of the log cabin blocks allows a gentle mix of color to cool down the hot pinks. 31 blocks with light centers were used to show off the light marble fabrics. |
