Mariner's Compass Master Templates

| I have been piecing Mariner's Compass patterns for nearly 20 years. A few years ago I developed my own paper piecing pattern for this wonderful timeless pattern. You will be able to sew sharp accurate points. The square block is easy to sew and can be used for many purposes from pillows, table runners, small wall hangings to all size quilts.
My quilt Morning Dream shows the many different compass variations you can sew. I have updated the directions which now include the size strips of fabric you will need to cut for the compass for all the sizes in the patterns.

| The Mariner's Compass pattern is also available in 16 and 20 inch blocks. These larger sizes are great for bed quilts since you don't need to sew a lot of blocks.
Another use for the patterns is to use the half blocks as border designs. The half circles around the outside of a quilt can create a wonderful border to set off either pieced or applique blocks.

| The templates are easy to photo copy and since the templates are laminated you can have them for many years and you never accidently mix them in with your copies. |

| For those that want a large range of sizes I have now combined small, medium and large compass templates in this set. The sizes range from 4 inch up to 20 inch for many different projects you can sew over the years.
Over the years I have often come back to the compass design to use in quilt projects.
